Imagine growing up believing that the only way to make a living means following a well-trodden path — 'secure jobs', traditional careers, and conventional roles only to realize you don’t have to design your life this way, AT ALL.
For context, my reality growing up was shaped by systemic programming that values stability and conformity. I was blessed to be raised by incredible parents, who encouraged me to ask new questions while also having more traditional career paths.
I remember sitting in the hospital with my dad speaking about entrepreneurship and technology and he encouraged me to “See the world. You don’t have to work hard and wait to enjoy your life, there are people finding ways to live with ease now, it’s different.”
My father dedicated his entire career to working in the prison system as an Associate Warden (he was diagnosed with a rare form of salivary gland cancer) just as he retired. After years as a devoted stay-at-home mom, my mother returned to school to earn her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology just as I was about to start college.
Like many people, I witnessed a dedication to traditional career paths reflecting a broader societal expectation that being a “good” employee was the ultimate goal.
It wasn’t until later that I discovered a world beyond these traditional roles — where entrepreneurship, especially creative entrepreneurship, offered an entirely different kind of fulfillment. The idea that one could work for oneself was revolutionary. If self-employment is an option, why wouldn’t everyone pursue it?
My journey into entrepreneurship began with a revelation: working for oneself isn’t just possible—it can be profoundly fulfilling. Discovering the world of creative entrepreneurship opened my eyes to a new reality where you can design your life around your passions and unique gifts.
Years ago, I transitioned from working for traditional employers to building my own business. This shift wasn’t without its challenges but it was also immensely rewarding. Today, as a brand strategist, I often get asked how I make a living online. My work is built on three main pillars:
Mindset and Transformation Coaching: Working one-on-one with clients to help them live intentionally and authentically.
Creative Agency Ownership: Co-owning Equal Parts, where we focus on branding and production.
Content Creation: Sharing my expertise and passion through various digital platforms.
When I first delved into content creation on social media, I was a personal trainer, exchanging my time and knowledge for money with in-person clients. To align my work with my passions, I incorporated elements I love: training women in the high-end creative space, being in nature (training at local parks), studying health and wellness, and earning certifications like Personal Training and Trauma Facilitation.
Attending seminars, including my first Byron Katie seminar where I was the only person who looked like me, further fueled my curiosity about helping others overcome challenges and enhance their lives.

Eventually, I wrote my first eBook, FOUNDATIONS, on holistic health. This book aims to simplify daily living and promote a healthier lifestyle without trading time. Unbeknownst to me, this eBook was my initial foray into digital offers.
Watching people purchase the book and use the worksheets I designed was a revelation. FOUNDATIONS was designed to help readers:
Train their subconscious minds
Increase their energy and confidence
Create well-balanced meals
Provide a gentle workout routine with no additional equipment
Manage their time effectively
Over time, I developed more offers, including a Mexico City Guide and the Little Things Often Crew Sweater. Through my creative agency, Equal Parts, I’ve assisted others in crafting and selling their own offerings, from Masterclasses to Group Coaching.
Many are initially drawn to our work because of aesthetics, appreciating how we enhance their business or social profiles. While aesthetics are important (learn more in our free brand strategy workshop [LINK]), they are not the most crucial aspect of a business’s sustainability.
Business fundamentally involves energy and value exchange. To succeed, you need offers that resonate and prompt your audience to act.
There's no shame in wanting to grow your business or contribute value to others' lives. (I once thought that associating business with commerce compromised my values, but I’ve realized that’s simply not true.)
From working with clients, I’ve observed that many seek:
To attract value-aligned clients into their holistic business
An authentic, personalized strategy that simplifies growth and makes it easy to show up in their business
Ample time for self-care routines and rituals, focusing only on high-impact activities
A strong brand identity, clear mission, and solid values build unshakeable confidence
A schedule aligned with their natural rhythms
A step-by-step plan to follow daily, allowing relaxation after work
A unique, authentic offer that integrates all their tools and modalities, making selling effortless and genuine
A super-specific specialty that resonates deeply, making it easy to connect with soul-aligned clients
My journey into understanding how people leverage their personal brand and create impactful offers has illuminated the possibilities beyond traditional career paths. Here’s the exciting part: you can make a life out of creating content around your passions and unique gifts. By aligning your personal values with your business practices, you can build a strong personal brand that attracts and serves others.
